Made it to Arcata California…our official half way point of the trip! This is a picture of my sisters deck that is built into an ancient giant redwood tree that was hit by lightning, or burned, about 1500 years ago!
How cool is that!!

Terry, that is really cool! Happy Birthday! Congrats on being halfway through the trip. I have been enjoying the pictures, videos and the stories. What has been the most challenging part of the trip so far? I know you tried to think of everything prior to leaving, but there must be something that cropped up that posed a challenge for you and Dale. Be safe!

Good question! The packing/unpacking of the bikes everyday is a pain. Everything else seems to be working out so far.
